Update:"Most of our movies are basically just snippets from other, more famous movies," explained Shawn. "Nearly all the jokes boil down to 'remember when that guy said that thing in that movie?' So, it's really just the next natural step for us." The movie will be released straight to DVD on Friday March 14 2008. info from hereAlso"Paramount has also announced Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island (which re-teams him with The Departed’s Leonardo DiCaprio) will arrive in theaters Oct. 2, 2009, and an untitled comedy from Marlon and Shawn Wayans will arrive on Feb. 9, 2009. Update: In an interview, Shawn responds to the R Kelly trial. “I ain’t gonna get in the middle of R. Kelly’s trial,” Shawn Wayans recently told MTV News, a heavy tone of incredulity in his voice. “[But] I’m curious.” Cross-examining the witness on her positive identification of Kelly in a video which allegedly shows him having sex with an underage girl, Adam suggested that Kelly’s head could have been superimposed on someone else’s body, a la the 2006 Wayans Brothers comedy “Little Man,” where Marlon Wayans was digitally manipulated to look like a 1-year-old child. “They put the head of Marlon Wayans on a midget and it looked real, didn’t it?” Adam asked. “Pretty interesting,” Sean, who co-starred in the film, chuckled. The difficulty of the endeavor makes the question all the more ludicrous, Wayans implied, detailing to MTV News the extraordinary effort it takes to accomplish that sort of digital trickery. “It’s not easy. It’s very complicated and it takes several effects guys to help you plot that out,” he said, referring to the need for identical camera moves throughout several different shots for composite matches. “You’d need tons of greenscreen. It’d be very expensive — the production would [be prohibitive].” Still, Wayans couldn’t help but stand in awe of the audacity of the question — but just don’t call Little Man as a witness. “Can’t knock a guy for trying! He’s very creative,” Wayans laughed. “I just hope Little Man don’t get subpoenaed into court — he wouldn’t be a good alibi.” watch video and info from here

Update:Those wacky Wayans brothers are at it again. They're currently shooting a new big-screen comedy called Snowflake. Among those recently called into the casting office are "stripper types with pole-dancing experience," a Paris Hilton impersonator, Brady Bunch lookalikes as pictured lined up along that iconic staircase and "someone who can play an excellent crackhead." Ever the perfectionists, the Wayans brothers would never settle on a merely serviceable crackhead, no matter how minor the part. info from here

Update:This is from an interview of Amy Sedaris. "I just did a Wayans Brothers movie, where I play a character with a camel toe, and I get to wear a big, prosthetic camel toe. They don’t have a title for it yet, but I loved working on that. They are so funny. They would all just double over, laughing at each other. I loved that." info from hereAlsoThe Top 10 Worst Sports Movie of All Time10. Caddyshack II 9. Two For The Money 8. The Mighty Ducks 3 7. Rocky V 6. Any Given Sunday 5. The Basketball Diaries 4. Update:Damon Wayans keeps his edge honed"I can work in prime time, I've done stand-up comedy for conventions, I know how to tone it down and be funny," says Wayans, 48. "It's just the artist in me would rather be edgy." Think of him as the love child of Richard Pryor and Bill Cosby, a constant balancing act between being both out there and commercially viable that Wayans also brings to his stand-up comedy gigs in Las Vegas, where he's playing this weekend. The Vegas audience is a cross-sectional representation of America, only a little less uptight because they're, well, in Sin City, he says. "What I love about Vegas is I can be as out there as I want there, but then you always want to be accessible to people who may have never seen you before," Wayans says. "So instead of being rude and crude, I'm trying to be well-rounded in terms of my subject matter." By contrast, at comedy clubs in other cities, Wayans talks to the audience more. In Vegas, "it's more of a show. I'm not there to talk to the guy in the front row. In comedy clubs, I'm trying to connect to the people." Those are the people he hopes will connect to the TV pilot he's finishing up for ABC, "Never Better," about a recovering alcoholic played by Wayans who is trying to make good with his wife and family. It's a rare instance of Wayans performing material he didn't create -- it's a remake of a British sitcom -- but he says he sympathizes with his character, noting that he himself is "just a drink away from doing some things I shouldn't do, so I'm not drinking right now." It may seem strange that a group of brothers and sisters so involved in irreverent, cutting-edge humor has emerged from a Jehovah's Witnesses household, but Wayans says their father's faith was surprisingly liberating for them. "God's sense of humor is higher than ours, and the thing that man says that is wrong is probably not wrong," Wayans says. "He's the same God who made the dolphin and the platypus. If it were up to man, there'd only be the dolphin, because they're cute. So our sense of humor's nothing compared to his." info from here

Update:A lot of people were surprised that Marlon got the rold of Ripcord in the upcoming movie G.I. Joe. In an interview with the website IESB.net and the producer he explains why he got the part. IESB: Let's go to the most recent announcement that kind of surprised a lot of people. Wallace Weems, Ripcord, played by Marlon Wayans. Tell me that he nailed the audition because it's so out of the box here.
LDB: Well, let's talk about Marlon for a second. A lot of people are fans of his from the comedic point of view obviously for all the right reasons, but what I think everybody forgets about is how damn good he was in Requiem for a Dream as an actor. And, when we were trying to figure out who would be the right element to make this combination work of Duke as the leader and Ripcord as the best friend who sorta gets Duke in trouble all the time and Duke has to bail him out all the time and have fun with him, we needed a guy who's gonna be funny and we needed a guy who was going to be a good actor. And we went to Marlon and said, "We'd love to talk to you." And he's a gigantic GI Joe fan and immediately asked, "is Cobra in it, is Destro in it?" I mean before he even got to read the script he was so much fun to talk to because he understood what it was. So he got it immediately, and when we did the test, you know, we all looked at each other and the studio and there isn't one person who didn't think it was a no-brainer. So, from our point of view, he's playing a military character who's got some real good quips but he's got to be good, he's got to be physical, and I mean Marlon is a strapping guy, he's got good size to him. So, I think the fans will feel, when they see him, that he is playing the solider that they anticipate anyone from the G.I. Joe group to be.
IESB: Got it, so he nailed the audition, he gets it, he got the role. So, it's not that we are going to be expecting some slapstick comedy behind this or anything right?
LDB: Listen, we are trying to have some fun but the orientation of this movie as you can see from all of the cast members we've announced so far, it's not about comedy.
IESB: Well, I'll tell you one thing, considering you guys got Transformers right, we're gonna trust you on this one. (laughs)info from here
